Create a Lasting Legacy

by including a gift in your will for vulnerable families in Africa. It costs nothing now, but your impact goes on for years to come.

Two ways your lasting contribution can be given to be used for Hands at Work in Africa’s greatest needs are:

  1. Residual bequest: This is a popular choice for charitable bequests because it ensures that loved ones receive their distribution before any distribution to charity. Hands at Work receives a percentage of the remainder or residue of your estate after other specific legacies have been fulfilled. This gift will be used where it’s needed most. A lot of people prefer to give a residual gift as it keeps in line with inflation and does not lose value over time.

  2. Specific bequest: Hands at Work receives a specific gift (e.g. cash or stock) that will be used where it’s needed most. Gifts in kind will be sold and proceeds will be used for programs where it’s needed most.

  • I devise the residue of my estate, after the satisfaction of all specific bequests and the payment of all taxes and other costs attending my death, to Hands at Work in Africa (Canada) Society, a not-for profit corporation, Charitable #848314225 RR0001, with principal offices currently located at PO Box 61023 Kensington, Calgary, AB, T2N 4S6.

  • I bequeath the sum of $____ to Hands at Work in Africa (Canada) Society, a not-for-profit corporation, Charitable #848314225 RR0001, with principal offices currently located at PO Box 61023 Kensington, Calgary, AB, T2N 4S6.

Let us know of your gift. Please call (403) 808-7767, email info@ca.handsatwork.org, or print and mail the form below. Hands at Work recommends that you consult a legal advisor when planning your will.
