We are grateful for many prayer partners that have joined hands with us to intercede on behalf of the vulnerable and orphaned children during the 40 DAYS OF PRAYER. LET US NOT GROW WEARY IN OUR PRAYERS.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please join with us in prayer now for the Hands at Work Celebrations. This is a time when representatives from all our communities across Africa together with our family around the world gather to spur one another on in this good work God has called us to. Activities will start from April 15th and run till the first of May in Zambia.

Please pray that all logistical issues and hospitality arrangements will be finalised in time. Pray for travelling mercies and health protection for our many visitors attending from several international and African countries. Pray that people will be able to cross borders without any problems. But most of all pray that this will be a time completely guided by the Holy Spirit, that it will bring a timely message and conviction in each heart and result in unity and an outpouring of love to one another and to all who are in need.

Be blessed. Oumie

Prayer Requests

March 4th

Greetings to our faithful intercessors.

THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE - James 5:16 (b)

NIGERIA In the city of Lagos, pray for our local volunteers.  Pray for God to give them wisdom as they work to heal vulnerable children in their area spiritually, mentally and physically.  Pray for these volunteers to work together as a strong team with Christ as their foundation and God as their guide.

SOUTH AFRICA In the area of Clau Clau, pray for Fortunate, one of the local leaders who is an advocate for the vision of Hands at Work in her community.  Pray for growth and trust amongst her and her team of volunteers who are working to care for the most vulnerable children.  Thank God for the encouragement that has been brought by visiting teams and international volunteers to communities in this area; they have been a huge motivation.

In the area of Bushbuckridge, pray for Audrey, one of the local leaders as she works to support her team and the many vulnerable families and children in the communities of her area.  Pray that she will be encouraged by those around her and strengthened through the grace of God.

Be blessed in Jesus’ Name,

Oumie.

40 Days of Prayer - Day 40

Thank God for the past 40 days of prayer.  Ask Him to continue to break your heart for the orphans of Africa and give you a deep understanding of the brokenness throughout the communities Hands at Work is serving. Ask Him to help you continue to be faithful in prayer for Africa's vulnerable.

But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer - Psalm 66:19

40 Days of Prayer - Day 39

As you approach Easter Sunday, reflect on the sacrifice that was made for our sins, and the almighty power of God.  As Jesus’ death raised believers from the dead, so will He come again.  He is building His Kingdom.  Ask God to prepare you for the coming Kingdom and to guide you in your role in its creation.

Come thou fount of every blessing

Tune my heart to sing thy grace

Streams of mercy never ceasing

Call for songs of loudest praise

Teach me some melodious sonnet

Sung by flaming tongues above

I'll praise the mount I'm fixed upon it

Mount of thy redeeming love

Here I raise my Ebenezer

Hither by thy help I come

And I hope by thy good pleasure

Safely to arrive at home

Jesus sought me when a stranger

Wondering from the fold of God

He, to rescue me from danger

Interposed His precious blood

O to grace how great a debtor

daily I'm constrained to be!

Let thy goodness like a fetter,

bind my wandering heart to thee

Prone to wander Lord I feel it,

prone to leave the God I love

Here's my heart, O take and seal it,

seal it for thy courts above

I am bound for the kingdom

Wonʼt you come with me

I am bound for the kingdom

Wonʼt you come with me

Hallelujah we sing

40 Days of Prayer - Day 38

The rainy season is the cause of massive destruction to many families in Africa each year.  Though they need water, the rain is so intense that it destroys the unstable homes of orphans and ruins gardens that provide food.  Ask God to have mercy on orphans and the poorest of the poor; that the rains will provide without leaving ruin behind.
