NIGERIA
Pray for the leaders on the Regional Support Team as they will stay for extended periods of time in Nigeria this year. Pray for God’s guidance as they expand into new communities. As our Care Workers in Apatuku Community experience a Maranatha Workshop, pray they will feels God’s love and take the message of Jesus’ love and care for the broken-hearted and share it with more people.
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
As Hands at Work seeks to expands our work, pray for guidance in all necessary logistics and details needed to reach more children. Lift up the southern part of the DRC where there has been a cholera outbreak and many lives have been taken since December 2015.
SWAZILAND
We are thankful for our connections with the local church in the communities of Msengeni and Shoka. We thank God for people like Pastor Mabila who have the heart for the most vulnerable in their community. Pray for Care Workers in Bhandeni Community as the local office in South Africa continue to walk with them as they holistically for their children in their community.
MOZAMBIQUE
Hands at Work has built good relationships with pastors from churches in Macadeira andMatsinho Communities. Pray for these pastors as they stand on behalf the poorest of the poor in their community. Especially the young girls in Mozambique, many who marry as young as thirteen years old. Pray for strong relationships between the local pastors and Care Workers in their communities
EDUCATION ACROSS AFRICA
Please pray for the education of children across Africa. Children are often forced to leave school due to lack of school fees, caring for sick family members or working in the fields. Many children face bullying and they are often fearful of attending school. Pray the Care Workers and teachers will identify these children and will reach out to them with love and encouragement.
