On Sundays, we pause to anticipate the coming of Easter Sunday and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Many governments and systems within the poorest communities are corrupt, creating a wider gap between justice and oppression for those in need. As the Lord loves justice, ask Him to break down the corruption within countries in Africa, and also around the world.

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;

He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear;

He burns the shields with fire,

The abduction of more than 200 young girls and the frequent attacks of rebel groups in Nigeria have brought further devastation to a desolate situation for over 100 million people living in poverty.

A crisis exists among single parents within the most vulnerable communities. Many young mothers and teenage girls struggle with feeling outcast and alone in their communities.

And here on this mountain, God will banish the pall of doom hanging over all peoples,
