Thirteen-year-old Ana* lives with her mother Beatrice. Her father left them when she was just one year old. She has six older siblings, many of them married with children of their own. Ana and Beatrice lived an unstable life until they met Care Workers from Mutaba CBO in 2016. Ana was malnourished and in desperate need of medical attention, and Beatrice was struggling with her own pain and brokenness. Over time, the Care Workers built a relationship with them. Ana and Beatrice’s physical and emotional wounds began to heal with the faithful love and care they received. Beatrice was so thankful for the way the Care Workers supported her in her darkest moments, that she became a Care Worker herself. Life is still a struggle and food is often scarce, but Ana has stability, she knows she has a place where she belongs and a heavenly Father who loves her.
