We’re going to be regularly introducing one of our Care Workers from across Africa. Today we want you to meet Barton from Chilabula Community in Zambia.
"My name is Barton. I have eight children and 13 grandchildren. I started being a Care Worker in Chilabula about 13 years ago. I love being a Care Worker. The reason I joined is because I have a heart to serve the orphaned and vulnerable children. My favourite moments are the times when I’m with the children and playing games."

We’re going to be introducing one of our Care Workers regularly from across Africa. Today we want you to meet Doris from the Chilabula community in Zambia.
“My name is Doris. I have five children – four girls and one boy. I have six grandchildren. I became a Care Worker about three years ago. I started as a Primary Caregiver. I became a Care Worker because I have a heart to serve the young ones. I had been admiring the people serving the children, so I also joined. My best moments serving the children are the ones that I spend with the younger children, preparing them porridge and being with them at the Care Point.”

Only a few months ago, this ten-year-old boy couldn’t walk to the Care Point on his own because of his severe malnutrition. But now he is walking to the Care Point every day and considers the Care Workers and other children to be his family.
Today, spend time thanking God for the transformation in his life. Ask God to make a way for the many other children across Africa who are struggling with malnutrition. Pray that local Hands at Work teams will have the eyes to see the needs in their community and the courage to advocate on their behalf.
