Our culture influences how we think and behave from an early age, and there are many good things to be found in each of our cultures but many things in our culture go against living a life dedicated to God. As Jesus called Peter out of the boat and onto the water, so He calls us out of the security of our own culture and to a life of following Him. Pray for God to reveal the areas of your own life and culture that are barriers to surrendering to Christ.
