Prayer Requests - June 2017

“God will supply all your needs from His glorious riches which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”  - Philippians 4:19

Greetings in the Name of Jesus

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

  • Through Maranatha Workshops, many lives have been impacted and changed. It can be an emotional time as many people have come to accept Jesus as their Saviour and are released from past experiences of violence and abuse. Pray that God will encourage and protect them as they walk out their faith. Please continue to pray for the Maranatha Workshops that have yet to happen.

  • On June 20th, 2017, it is World Day for Refugees. Please stand with us in prayer for the millions of refugees across Africa.

  •  Pray that God will bring comfort and protection to children that are subjected to abuse and neglect on a regular basis as a result of alcohol abuse.

NURSES FOR AFRICA

  • These are teams of nurses from North America who come for two weeks to volunteer with Hands at Work. They provide much needed clinics in our communities where there is little medical care available or accessible. They teach the Primary Caregivers and Care Workers basic health care so that they can support the vulnerable that they are caring for. They do amazing work in helping to bring relief to those who are suffering from malaria and other diseases.

TEAMS

  • Pray for the teams that come to volunteer with Hands at Work. Pray for their health and safety as they travel and that they will remain strong and healthy as they are on the ground in Africa.

  • As the teams go out into the communities, pray that they will build relationships with the Care Workers and children; bringing them support and encouragement.

  • Pray for teams to come away from their time in Africa encouraged to send volunteers in the future.

ZIMBABWE LOCAL OFFICE

  • Pray for Farai, Barbara and the team as they lead the Hands at Work community in Zimbabwe. Pray that God will give them strength and perseverance as they face the daily challenges of serving the most vulnerable.
