How You Can Help

We serve communities in Africa where need is at its greatest, but the support structure is at its lowest. We believe that, in accordance with the Word of God, the responsibility to care for the widow, the orphan, the sick and the dying is placed on His church. Firstly the Church in Africa, but then also the Church outside Africa - to come alongside to serve. So what can you do to help?

We would encourage you to:

Come

Advocate, and

Give

You can find out more about this by clicking on ‘Get Involved’ at the top of the home page.

Here are the main ways this works:

Come

Church partnerships – we can arrange short-term mission trips so that you can see some of the communities we serve first-hand. If you would like to plan a trip for a team from your church, please follow the link below and return the form to partnerships@uk.handsatwork.org

Individuals and groups of individuals – we can facilitate short-term mission trips for groups of individuals in the same way as for churches. If you would like to visit some of the projects we serve, please follow the link below and return the form to visits@uk.handsatwork.org

Short-term volunteers – we have a short-term volunteer programme for those wishing to serve with us for up to 3 months. If you would like to volunteer or just have some questions, please e-mail volunteer@handsatwork.org

Mid-term volunteers – we also have a programme for those available to serve for a period of 6 months or more. If you would like to volunteer or just have some questions, please e-mail volunteer@handsatwork.org

Advocate

It is crucial for the children of Africa, who have no voice, that we tell their story so that as many as possible here in the UK have the opportunity to bring them hope. So we would encourage as many as possible to raise awareness, especially those who have visited and know the children by name.

Give

£15 per month is enough to provide one child with the 3 essential services they need for one month: a daily nutritious meal; access to basic healthcare, and education.

Please help us to bring hope to as many of the children as possible in the 62 communities we serve in Africa. We need your help as many of these still receive no support at all. If you would like to give, please click below:
