Work in Africa
Each year, groups of volunteers from the UK visit projects in Africa for up to a couple of weeks. People also stay with Hands at Work in Africa for longer periods such as for a gap year or sabbatical. As well as providing an opportunity to experience projects first hand, it also enables an exchange of skills and expertise between UK and African personnel. Our next trip will be at the end of July 2009 - click here for more details
Our FOOTPRINTS programme prepares volunteers for up to a year's voluntary service on projects in Africa as a gap year or sabbatical.

Church partnerships:
“We may never meet the people we help in Masoyi but we feel that we have a real relationship with them and we can see exactly how we are impacting their lives, it’s very empowering for us as a church."
Revd Barry Wilson, Holy Trinity Church, Chesterton.
These words are echoed by many church leaders from a variety of denominations. Church Partnerships with Hands at Work Africa projects are about much more than just fundraising. They are about joint learning, participation, prayer and development. They are what we need today.
