40 Days of Prayer - Day 30

O Lord, all my longing is known to you; my sighing is not hidden from you. – Psalm 38:9 (NRSV)

In many families, orphaned children are being cared for by grandparents, older relatives, eldest siblings, aunts or uncles who have faced trauma as serious as what the children they care for have faced. Hands at Work is reaching out to these caregivers, letting them know that their own restoration is just as vital as the restoration in the lives of the children they care for. We know that wounded people wound others, and if these caregivers do not receive healing, they will struggle to care for others. Pray for the Support Groups Hands at Work will start with caregivers this year. Pray for each caregiver to find comfort in knowing that God knows what they need and He hears their sighs.

In each of our communities across Africa Hands at Work desires our Care Workers to be meeting together as well. Not only to support one another but to model this type of care to their communities.
