The Lord is my strength and my song;
He has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise Him.
Exodus 15 : 2
This week please pray for Zimbabwe:
That the South Africa Regional Support Team will be able to strengthen their support to our Service Centre in Zimbabwe.
For Farai as he leads our Zimbabwe Service Centre and work which touches communities around Mutare and stretches in to Mozambique, and for the Service Centre team which includes: Barbra in her finance role, Florence in her field coordinator role and Mildred in her hospitality role. Pray that they would be able to mobilise more churches to come and be a part of this work.
Please pray for Sakubve Community, an urban slum outside Mutare, Zimbabwe which faces extreme poverty, rates or prostitution and abuse. Please pray for Pricilla in her role as coordinator of this community based organisation. Thank God for the Care Worker's perseverance in this community as they face overwhelming challenges in their work each day. Pray for them as they make a plan to care for the most vulnerable in their community, that they would find favour in their work.
Please pray for Pimai Community in Honda Valley, Zimbabwe. Pray for the new Care Centre they have just opened up, that it would aid in their ability to be able to care for the vulnerable children in their village. Please also pray for a water source to be found near the Care Centre so that the Care Workers could begin the garden they want to for their children. Pray for the Care Workers as they advocate for their children to be able to attend the already overcrowded schools, and that they will have strength to continue to walk huge distances over their mountainous area to reach their kids.
Please pray for Macedera Community in Mozambique, a very rural community where the nearest clinic or high school is a full days travel away. Pray for Faustino and Dara as they support this community, and they work towards getting Hands at Work registered in Mozambique. Thank God for the land that this community has been given to utilize in their work of caring for the most vulnerable. Pray that Care Workers would know deeply the work to which they are called, and that they would continually be motived by God's Spirit to continue in this work.
