Organisational Development Consultant

Responsibility: To help develop organizational capacity of community based organizations from constitutions & governance to how to run a meeting with agendas & minutes. Researching available resources and training community organizations.

Skills: Ability to work at all levels of an organization as an organizational development consultant and trainer.

Location: Masoyi, South Africa

 

This is a staff position*

Hands at Work in Africa, a non profit Christian organisation, requires the services of an in-house Organisational Development Consultant to deliver training and consulting services to Community Based Organisations (CBO).

Key performance areas are:

  • Developing a CBO organisational development process and identifying or developing relevant training and reference material;
  • Doing needs analysis of CBOs in terms of organizational capacity;
  • Deliver consultancy and mentoring services to CBOs to develop organizational capacity;
  • Training on a broad range to topics and best practices that assist in building the organizational capacity of CBOs
  • Facilitating workshops with CBOs.

We are looking for the following qualifications, experience and qualities:

  • A relevant degree or national diploma or studying towards a relevant degree or national diploma;
  • Computer literate (especially MSWord & PowerPoint);
  • Comprehensive organizational development consultation & training experience;
  • Excellent communication & facilitation skills.
