Teams of 2015

Throughout the year, teams come from all over the world to Africa to serve the most vulnerable and learn more about our Father and the transforming work that is happening in Africa. This year, Hands at Work (Canada) Society supported 3 teams going to Africa to spend time on the ground learning more about our Father’s heart for the most vulnerable and experiencing this life-transforming work.

When teams return from Africa, the prayer is that their lives will be transformed and that they will become advocates within their own communities, being a voice for the voiceless and inviting others alongside in this work.

Our team experienced such a warm welcome in the communities that we visited. We saw first hand the incredible challenges that people living in the communities of Sakubva and Pimai and Chinaka face daily. Each of the volunteer care workers in these communities exhibits the incredible, sacrificial love that was first exemplified by Christ. We were humbled and privileged to be given the opportunity to walk with them and be called friends.

When I explain to people at home how the Care Workers do what they do, I will tell them it’s only by the strength of Jesus in them.
— Grace Schienbein (Grand Centre Alliance)
We are called to care for one another and create a community to foster that care. No matter where you are, what you have or don’t have, you support and care for others.
